Throughout the process, you will be asked to explore your business goals and answer some detailed questions. Be ready to put the same passion you have for your business into this process. If you are focused and dedicated, you can complete the entire process in a few weeks.

Module Overview:

Module 1: Discovering Your Brand is where you’ll discuss, and begin to document, the analytical data that will be used to shape your brand. This is a fun session where you and a few trusted partners will dive in and talk about your business. Many business owners walk away from this discovery session feeling empowered and find clarification in their brand.

Estimated time investment: 3-4 hours:
  • 1 hour to review, gather assets, and invite meeting participants
  • 2-3 hour brainstorm session

Module 2: Refining Your Brand Data is all about analyzing the data from the discovery session and interpreting it into the brand backbone. You’ll be detailing the specifics of your brand, competition, and audience in preparation for creating the final brand plan.

Estimated time investment: 8-12 hours:
  • 30-minutes to review the module
  • Defining Your Brand Backbone: 1-2 hours
  • Brand Positioning Statement: 1 hour
  • Profile Your Audience: 1-2 hours
  • The Competition: 2-3 hours
  • Brand Personality: 2-3 hours

Module 3: Documenting Your Brand pulls all of your research and hard work together into formal documents to guide you in your brand implementation efforts. The module wraps up the brand documentation process with everything you need to find, vet, and hire a brand implementation team of designers, writers, and marketers.

  • 30-minutes to review the module and download the templates
  • Building Your Brand Background: 1-2 hours
  • Brand Creative Brief: 1 hour
